Farm Dog Certification

The Greater Clark County Kennel Club (GCCKC) holds three days of dog performance days twice a year at the Clark County Fairgrounds – usually in early May and late November.

In years past, our Club did the Farm Dog Certification Test and other Clubs and the GCCKC handle other events – scent work, lure coursing, agility, rally, obedience and other certifying tests. To get the Farm Dog Certification title, you need to certify under two judges.

You can learn more about the test on the AKC website at https://www.akc.org/sports/herding/farm-dog-certified-test/. The regulations are available here, but best way to understand it is to come out and help with the test, then run your dog. Look for more information about the Farm Dog Certification as those Performance Days get close.

The GCCKC has taken over Farm Dog during performance days, and there are several other opportunities for this title in Oregon and Washington - check the AKC website Events Calendar for additional information.
